Itinerary

Enjoy your free time until the shared sleeper bus picks you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter for the journey to Ha Giang. The bus is scheduled to depart around 11:00 AM and will arrive in Ha Giang at approximately 6:00 PM. Overnight in Ha Giang. Overnight in Ha Giang Meal: None

The bus will pick you up from your hotel for the journey to Ha Giang. Enjoy the scenic drive as you leave the bustling city behind and enter the peaceful countryside of northern Vietnam. Have lunch at Jasmine Retreat in Ha Giang, followed by a short briefing about the Ha Giang Loop at Jasmine Hostel. The guide will share travel tips and safety information before your adventure begins. Start your journey through the spectacular mountain roads, enjoying the stunning views of Bac Sum Pass, where winding curves cut through green valleys and terraced hills. Stop at the Heaven Gate, offering a panoramic view of Tam Son Valley — a perfect spot for taking photos of the majestic limestone mountains. Continue to Tam Son Town for a relaxing lunch stop, then visit Fairy Mountain (Twin Mountains), the iconic symbol of Quan Ba. These two round hills surrounded by myths are said to represent the beauty and fertility of the highlands. Arrive in Nam Dam Village, a tranquil H’mong community in Quan Ba. Check in to your cozy homestay and enjoy dinner prepared by your host family. In the evening, join fun local activities — playing traditional games, listening to folk music, and tasting “Happy Water” (local corn wine). Overnight in Nam Dam Village. Meal: Lunch. Dinner

After breakfast, check out from your homestay and start exploring the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a UNESCO-recognized area known for its breathtaking limestone mountains and diverse ethnic cultures. Your first stop is the Tham Ma Pass viewpoint, where the road curves beautifully along the mountain, creating one of Ha Giang’s most scenic photo spots. Continue to a border village, located near the Chinese frontier, to observe the traditional architecture and daily life of the H’mong people who have preserved their unique culture for generations. Next, visit the Vuong’s Royal Palace (Dinh Ho Vuong), nestled in Sa Phin Valley. This stone mansion, built in the early 20th century, belonged to the wealthiest and most powerful H’mong family of the region. Its architecture combines Chinese and French influences, symbolizing the prosperity and history of Dong Van’s past. Then, enjoy a short trek along the Ma Pi Leng Skywalk, a narrow cliffside path offering breathtaking views over the Nho Que River and the rugged peaks of the Ma Pi Leng mountain range. Continue through the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, the most stunning section of the “Happiness Road.” Stop at Ma Pi Leng Canyon, the deepest canyon in Vietnam, to fully admire the grandeur of the landscape — a masterpiece of nature carved by wind and time. Arrive in Pa Vi Village, a peaceful H’mong community surrounded by mountains. Take part in a Sunset Party with local people, enjoy traditional music, games, and taste a bit of “Happy Water” to celebrate your day. Overnight in Pa Vi / Meo Vac.

After that, enjoy your free time until 8:00 PM, when the shared sleeper bus will pick you up for the return journey to Ha Noi. No, you don’t need to be an experienced rider. The tour can be arranged with an easy rider (local driver) who will drive the motorbike for you, allowing you to fully enjoy the scenery.
