Itinerary

07:00: The vehicle and tour guide will pick you up in Hanoi and depart for Lang Son via the Hanoi – Bac Giang – Lang Son Expressway. Along the way, you can admire lush green rice fields and peaceful countryside landscapes. 09:15: Stop for a short break at Hoa Hoi Station – Lang Son, where you can relax and shop for local specialties. 09:30: Continue to That Khe – a bustling gateway town near the border, once a fierce battlefield during the 1950 Border Campaign. Today, That Khe is well known for its vibrant local market and delicious specialties such as sour pho, wormwood cake, and Lang Son roast duck. 12:00: Visit the Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh in That Khe – a place that commemorates his revolutionary activities during the resistance war against the French. This is a “red address” of profound historical and educational value. 12:30: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. 13:30: Choose one of the following visits: Thong Hue Village: Experience the serene scenery, crystal-clear streams, and the simple daily life of ethnic minority people. Co La Waterfall: Admire the pristine and majestic beauty nestled in the mountains and forests (additional ~40 minutes by car). 16:30: Check in at Saigon Ban Gioc Hotel and relax. Evening: Dinner at your own arrangement, either at the hotel or a local restaurant. Meal: Lunch

08:00: Visit Ban Gioc Waterfall – one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Asia and a natural border between Viet Nam and China. The magnificent white cascades set against the lush green mountains will leave an unforgettable impression. You will experience shared bamboo raft ride for closer views of the falls 09:30: Explore Nguom Ngao Cave – an underground wonder with a sparkling system of stalactites and stalagmites, associated with the legend of the “roaring tiger cave.” 11:30: Enjoy lunch at Yen Nhi Homestay or a local restaurant. 13:30: Transfer to Tra Linh. Depending on the time, visit: Mat Than Mountain (Thung Mountain) – the symbol of Cao Bang Geopark. During the water season (August–September), you can take a bamboo raft ride at the foot of the mountain (fee on your side) 16:30: On the way back to Cao Bang, pass through Ma Phuc Pass – a gracefully winding pass standing out amidst rice fields and limestone mountains. Overnight at Muong Thanh Luxury Cao Bang Hotel. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

08:00: Depart for Meo Vac. On the way, conquer Me Pia Pass, famous for its 14 sharp hairpin bends winding through dramatic limestone peaks. This road is often praised as one of the most spectacular mountain routes in Viet Nam, offering stunning views of deep valleys and rugged cliffs. 11:30: Stop for lunch in Bao Lac Town, a small but lively town surrounded by green hills. 13:00: Continue the journey through Bao Lam, a land inhabited by many ethnic minority communities. Along the way, you may stop to capture photos at a traditional H’Mong village, where the houses and mountain scenery create a picturesque backdrop. 17:30: Arrive in Meo Vac. If it is Saturday evening, you will have the chance to wander around Meo Vac Walking Street, a lively spot where visitors can explore local culture, handicrafts, and food specialties. Overnight at Thanh Thanh Luxury Hotel, conveniently located near Meo Vac Market. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

07:30: Visit Pa Vi Cultural Village, an ancient H’Mong settlement nestled on the mountainside. The village is known for its traditional earthen houses, stone fences, and the tranquil beauty of the highlands. 09:00: Enjoy a boat trip on the emerald Nho Que River (Shared boat), gliding between steep cliffs of the Tu San Canyon – the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia, often called the “green wonder” of Ha Giang. Then you move to Dong Van, on the road you will go through Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s legendary “Four Great Passes,” winds dramatically through towering limestone mountains and deep valleys. From its peaks, travelers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Nho Que River snaking like a green ribbon far below. 12:30: Lunch at a local restaurant in Dong Van, where authentic dishes are served against the backdrop of breathtaking mountain and canyon views. 13:40: Discover the H’Mong King’s Palace (Vuong Family Residence), an impressive early 20th-century mansion that reflects a blend of H’Mong, Chinese, and French architectural styles. 15:10: Depart for Quan Ba, a charming gateway to Ha Giang with scenic valleys and rolling hills. 17:30: Check in at H’Mong Village Resort, a peaceful retreat surrounded by terraced fields, and overnight in Quan Ba. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

07:15: Check out your hotel & begin your day with visiting Quan Ba Twin Mountains – the most iconic natural landmark of Quan Ba District. These two perfectly rounded hills are closely linked to a local legend about sacred maternal love, making them not only a geological wonder but also a symbol of cultural and spiritual significance in Ha Giang. 08:00: Explore Lung Tam Linen Weaving Village, home to the H’Mong people. Here, you will have the chance to witness the traditional techniques of hemp weaving, a handicraft passed down through generations. From planting hemp, spinning fibers, weaving, to dyeing fabrics with natural colors, each step reflects the artistry and cultural identity of the H’Mong community. 08:45: Depart for Hanoi. Along the way, relax and enjoy the changing scenery as the mountain landscapes gradually give way to the Red River Delta. 17:00: Arrive back in Hanoi.
